In September 2009 we submitted an application to Jeans for Genes for their 2010 allocation and, in April 2010 we were told that the application had been successful but there was uncertainty about the amount to be awarded! Jeans for Genes, like many other charities, had been hit badly by the recession and all the successful bids would have to be scaled down according to the funds available. In fact they were unable to say how much we would get – or exactly when.

Well, it was actually April 2011 when we received a cheque for £1500 and, although this was half of what we had asked for, it was none the less very gratefully received and helped to subsidise the cost of our Activity Weekend which was held at the Duke’s Barn at the end of April 2011. These weekends are hugely popular as they let people affected by KS the chance to meet others with similar problems - usually for the first timewhile -- while having a great time as you can see!

Thank you, Jeans for Genes, for your support!
