Dr. Jenny Retzler
Dr Jenny Retzler is a senior lecturer in developmental psychology at the University of Huddersfield.
She gained a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging, and a PhD in Developmental Cognitive Neuropsychology at the University of Nottingham, before spending time in health research consultancy.
She began in her role as a lecturer, which incorporates both teaching and research, in 2018. Jenny’s key research interests are in the atypical development of executive function and attention, how these problems impact people long-term, and associated conditions (e.g. ADHD, Autism, KS).
Jenny was delighted to be asked to speak at the KSA conference to share her understanding of difficulties in executive functioning and knowledge of strategies that delegates may find useful. She also hopes to learn from her interactions with the delegates about the day-to-day realities of living with KS, and plans to set up new research to increase what we know about executive functioning in KS.
