Interactive Workshops

Interactive workshops with various KS/XXY experts have always been a very popular part of the KSA Conference. These workshops are informal and  interactive Q&A sessions with a range of experts. They provide an opportunity to ask those important questions and get a proper answer, to learn new things and share information.

The workshops are divided into 3 groups:

  • KS/XXY adults
  • Parents, carers, siblings
  • Partners of KS/XXY adults

Each group will have an opportunity to attend 4 different hour long workshops during the Conference each hosted by a KS/XXY expert!

Workshops for KS/XXY adults

  • Guys KS Clinics panel headed by Tet Yap, urologist with other members of the team including Dr Frodsham, psychosexual psychologist and a dental expert
  • Richard Quinton – leading endocrinologist who gets straight to the point and tells it like it really is!
  • Jennie Faithful lead psychologist at UCLH KF clinic
  • Life as an XXY adult – KS/XXY people talking about their own life experiences and how they navigated work/relationships, coping with neurodiversity etc

Because we know some KS/XXY adults can find the research talks and clinic updates a bit overwhelming, Richard Quinton has offered to run a ‘drop in’ session running at the same time.

Workshops for parents, carers, siblings etc

  • child psychologist from Guy’s KS clinic
  • KS Clinic panel headed by Tet Yap, urologist with other members of his team including paediatric endocrinologist
  • SEND support (Claire Harkin KSA trustee )
  • Jennie Faithful lead psychologist at UCLH clinic. She also helps with IEPs, PIP etc.

Workshops for partners of KS/XXY adults

  • Jennie Faithfull lead psychologist from UCLH KF clinic
  • Psychosexual matters- Lelia Fordham Psychosexual psychologist from Guy’s clinic
  • Mutual support group discussion
  • Coping with neurodiversity (tbc)
