This research opportunity for families, is being conducted by Ellie Crisp and the University of Exeter School of Education.
“I am still looking for people to take part in the interviews for my dissertation. I have updated the search by widening the age range to 7 years and 16 years of age. My research question is What are the perceived impacts of school-based counselling on the educational experiences and emotional well-being of students aged 7-16 diagnosed with Klinefelter Syndrome in mainstream schools, as reported through qualitative interviews?
I understand this is the first time the experiences of children between the ages of 7 and 16 years have been gathered during formal research. I would like to invite children who have school-based counselling, and children who do not have school-based counselling, to take part in online interviews to talk about their lived experiences of school.
The interviews will be semi-structured to allow for open-ended answers and can last up to one hour, depending on the participant’s engagement. All interview data will be anonymised and pseudonymised. This project has been reviewed and passed by the Research Ethics Committee at the University of Exeter, the reference number is M2425-010.
